Ingredients
1 1/4 Cup Whole Milk
1 Tbsp Powdered Sugar
1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips*
How to make Iced Hot Chocolate
In a small pot on the stove, combine the milk, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder. Whisk until smooth
Over medium heat, stir the milk mixture until it is hot and steaming, but not quite simmering. This will take about 3-5 minutes.
Once hot, remove the pot from the heat and stir in the chocolate chips, whisking until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth
Place your hot chocolate into the refrigerator and allow to cool for 30 minutes.
Pour the cooled hot chocolate over ice and enjoy!
Notes
*I use semi-sweet chocolate chips, but you can also make this with milk chocolate chips or dark chocolate. I strongly recommend using high quality chocolate chips, such as Ghirardelli or something similar, or you may have trouble getting the chocolate to melt completely.
